She stopped and slid down the tree. "Whiteblaze! Oh, you're so stupid!" But she couldn't do anything about it so she just scooped up Dappledkit and carried her in her mouth and climbed up the tree. "I'll try not to drop you." she mumbled with a mouthful of kit fur. The kit felt heavier than when she had picked her up last time. Ready for a apprentice ceremony. Then she leaped from tree to tree, the kit swaying in her jaws.

Whiteblaze's yowl of triumph came from deep in the forest, followed by a series of yelps.
